1. Two Dynacom Tankers HIT
• Greek shipping company Dynacom Tankers said two managed vessels were hit by projectiles of unknown origin on Monday while sailing off Oman.
• Kavomaleas, a Malta-flagged Panamax tanker, was struck by two projectiles, causing an engine-room fire and forcing the Master to evacuate after shipboard fire suppression was deployed.
• All Kavomaleas crew were safely located by Omani authorities and transferred ashore.
• UKMTO had earlier reported the vessel fire near Kumzar, with no environmental impact reported at the time of update.
• Acheloos, a Liberian-flagged VLCC capable of carrying about 2 million barrels of oil, was also struck by a projectile; all crew were safe and the vessel proceeded to anchorage for assessment.

• A Philippine sailor was injured on Monday during a clash with China Coast Guard personnel at Second Thomas Shoal.
• The Philippine military said Chinese coast guard personnel struck the sailor on the head with a wooden baton and damaged a Philippine rubber boat.
• USNI News reported the incident began after China Coast Guard cutter 21560 approached BRP Sierra Madre and deployed a small boat carrying eight personnel.
• Philippine authorities were assessing whether the injured sailor required medical evacuation from the shoal outpost.
• China’s coast guard accused Philippine personnel of ramming a patrol boat and attacking Chinese law-enforcement personnel with oars and sticks.
