The bulk carrier Sfera remains hard aground near Seskar Island in the eastern Gulf of Finland, after multiple refloating attempts failed. The vessel grounded on 7 February while en route from Vistino to Skagen, carrying approximately 72,000 tonnes of fertiliser.
As of 10–11 February, authorities report no hull breach and no pollution, but the ship has not refloated under its own power, indicating that heavy salvage assistance may be required.
