The onboard field manual has been superseded.
Required scheduled checks are absent or use wrong channels or contacts.
A field restriction is not reflected in the vessel's plan or ASOG.
Master's practical note
Compare the field manual revision with the terminal's latest pre-arrival message. A familiar terminal is where an old contact, limit or reporting interval is most likely to be carried forward.
Equipment boundary and references
Equipment boundary: Applicable only to oil vessels trading to relevant offshore terminals. Terminal manuals supplement but do not remove the Master's duty to stop an unsafe operation.
