Check the vessel’s actual procedures, equipment and records against these points from RISQ 3.2.

Keep a drill programme and response procedures covering collision, grounding, flooding, heavy-weather/cargo damage, cargo shift/loss, structural failure, fires, explosion, damage to fixed/floating objects, packaged harmful-substance pollution, machinery failure, enclosed rescue, serious injury, towing, helicopters, pollution clean-up and emergency hatch operation.Plan and record fire-system training and fire drills under the SOLAS provisions cited in the source.For conventional lifeboats, record launching with assigned operating crew and manoeuvring at least every three months during abandon-ship drills.For free-fall boats, at least every three months have crew board/secure and rehearse up to, but not including, release; then free-fall launch with operating crew only or lower by secondary means with/without crew, followed by manoeuvring with operating crew. No. The PDF separates boarding/securing and rehearsal without release from launch with operating crew only or secondary lowering, and allows the specified six-month simulated-launch alternative.
