Check the vessel’s actual procedures, equipment and records against these points from RISQ 3.2.

Have the largest-scale voyage charts/ENCs with the route, position checks at appropriate intervals and safe distances from coasts, prohibited areas and dangerous wrecks.Show weather forecasts, regular barometer/weather monitoring, NAVAREA warning checks and participation in area-reporting systems.Show environmental compliance measures and adequate bridge manning/lookout.Check ECDIS safety/alarm settings and minimum display layers against the SMS; verify compass-error and radar-performance records.Where no appropriate ENC safety contour exists, use the manual alarmable contour described by the source and keep its layer selected/displayed throughout the passage.
